Klinovant
Preparing clinical documentation — on-premise, with the physician at the center.
Klinovant is building a software medical device that captures documentation-relevant content from the clinical encounter, structures it, and prepares it for clinical documentation. The software runs entirely on-premise on the hospital's own IT infrastructure — patient data never leaves the hospital. Proposals from the software are reviewed and approved by the treating physician (human-in-the-loop); the software itself does not decide.
Technical feasibility of the approach is currently being tested in a clinical pilot at Universitätsmedizin Mannheim. Klinovant is under development and is not an approved medical device; we are currently preparing a funding round to finance the regulatory build-out through CE marking.
Four steps
Capture, structure, verify, approve — the physician makes every decision.
- 01
Capture
Documentation-relevant content from the encounter is captured.
- 02
Structure
The content is structured and prepared for clinical documentation.
- 03
Verify
The proposal is presented for physician review.
- 04
Approve
The physician decides and approves — not the software.
