The problem

Physicians spend a significant share of their working time on clinical documentation — time that is then unavailable for patient care. Much of this documentation follows recurring patterns, yet is still largely produced manually.

The planned approach

Klinovant is building software that captures documentation-relevant content from the encounter, structures a proposal, and presents it to the treating physician for review. Only after physician approval does a documentation proposal become part of the patient record. This description refers to the planned scope of a product under development, not to an approved medical device in routine clinical use.

Why on-premise

German university hospitals generally cannot send patient data to cloud services outside the EU. On-premise operation on the hospital's own infrastructure is therefore not merely a technical preference — it is a precondition for market access.

The target market is the roughly 35 German university hospitals for which this structural advantage opens market access.
